Arsenal are ahead of the competition in the chase for 21-year-old Norwegian striker Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig.
According to Standard Sport, the Gunners are expected to submit an official bid to the German club during the January transfer window.
Nusa has been plying his trade in the Bundesliga since August, having moved to Germany from Belgian side Brugge for a fee of 21 million euros.
North London rivals Tottenham are also showing a keen interest in the forward and are preparing to make an official inquiry in the coming months.
Arsenal are valuing the striker's transfer at around 40 million euros; however, negotiations are likely to be challenging as RB Leipzig are looking to secure no less than 55 million euros for the player.
