Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is feeling good following the victory over Girona. The Londoners thrashed their opponents 4-1 in Spain.
The German scored one of the goals, with Christos Tsolis, Max Doumen, and Gabriel Jesus also on the scoresheet. Havertz is confident he has already hit good form.
“You could already see the connections we had on the pitch. It was a good test for us against a strong team, and I think we performed well. Now we need to keep going in the same way,” the German told the club's press service.
“Playing matches is the best way to build up fitness, especially for players. I think there’s been a long break for them. I think it’s important to play a few matches. I think we are already looking forward to the next one.”
“To be honest, my fitness level is quite good. I feel as if I’ve had three weeks of rest. I don't think I’ve lost too much, and I feel good, I feel strong and ready to go,” the forward concluded.
