UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has urged everyone to await the full report from the independent commission regarding Manchester City before discussing potential sanctions against the club.
Burnham's comments came after reports indicated that the independent panel had found Manchester City guilty of 114 out of 115 charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. However, final sanctions have yet to be determined, and City plans to continue their legal battle.
“We shouldn’t jump to conclusions”
When asked whether Manchester City should be stripped of their titles, Burnham responded with caution.
“People shouldn’t jump to conclusions. I think we all need to carefully examine the independent commission’s report before making any judgments.”
He also highlighted that the case between Manchester City and the Premier League has been ongoing for several years, reflecting a contentious process.
