15-Second Brief
Liverpool have lost Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo, and Hugo Ekitike to injury before their match against Manchester City. Experts Emile Heskey and Alan Smith are calling for Andoni Iraola to give 21-year-old forward Lewis Kumasi a chance.

Liverpool are grappling with serious attacking issues as they prepare to face Manchester City in the Premier League. With Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo both sidelined due to injuries sustained during international duty, the Reds are in a tight spot.

To add to their woes, Hugo Ekitike is out until at least December. This situation has opened the door for manager Andoni Iraola to potentially hand a starting spot to 21-year-old academy graduate Lewis Kumasi.

Kumasi made his first start last month in a League Cup match against Tottenham, where he impressed many observers, including former players.

Ex-Liverpool striker Emile Heskey recently spoke to 10bet about the young forward’s prospects.

If they're not ready to play, it's a tough situation. Lewis Kumasi has really stood out. He brings something different to the team with the hard work he puts in that no one else brings... He has performed well when he's been on the pitch, so yes, I wouldn't be against giving him a chance.

Former Arsenal forward Alan Smith voiced a similar sentiment, previously naming Kumasi the best player in the match against Spurs.

I called him the man of the match; he provided real energy going forward thanks to his pressing. So, he deserves a chance. Why not? If you can play like that against Tottenham, give him a go in the Premier League.
